How it works

A special blank cartridge is inserted into the barrel, locked — and the shot is fired: the cartridge launches a compactly folded 3.7×3.7 m net that opens in flight and covers the drone.

Reloading a blank cartridge takes ~2 seconds — a second shot can be made right away, but only if you have a second barrel unit (it is included in the «Maximum» kit or bought separately).

Replacing a spent cartridge (a new net) takes up to 2 minutes — impossible during a drone attack. So for two consecutive shots you need the «Maximum» kit or a spare barrel unit.

Scenario 1 · In a crew

Combo with a shotgun

The safest and most effective approach — a crew pair.

1. Shotgun — at distance. Shoots farther and is safer for the operator. First into action.

2. Net launcher — as backup. A shotgun doesn't always down it on the first shot; the partner finishes it if the target closes in.

3. Two rings of defense. Far + near line. Chances rise sharply.

Scenario 2 · Solo

Survival algorithm

When you're alone with only a net launcher — the sequence of actions is critical.

1. First — cover. Find a spot where the drone can't see you. Always the safest choice.

2. No cover — dodge using speed. Step aside during the attack. Don't shoot at a fast target — you won't have time to aim.

3. The drone will make another pass. It will slow down for another pass — that's when you raise the «Ptashka» and shoot.

A net launcher is not for a fast drone

A drone at 100+ km/h is hard to hit even with a shotgun. The net launcher works against a slowed target (repeat pass / hover / low altitude). Smart use saves lives.

Training and loyalty program

2–3 practice shots

Before combat use we recommend 2–3 test shots to feel the recoil, the time from trigger to net deployment, and how the launcher behaves in your hand.

✓ Aim slightly above the drone. It's moving — compensate with lead.

✓ The manual — mandatory. Increases the chance of a hit.

✓ Practice on a slowed target. Don't try to down a fast drone right away.
